All of Corey's songs have a great message. Her
catchy first song, "Reflection," touches on speaking your mind in a
relationship. The empowering "Another You" discusses staying true to
yourself no matter who trys to change you. "I love my first two songs
because they are just so empowering. They teach you to stand up for yourself no
matter what, and I think that is definitely a great motto to live by,"
Corey explains.
Corey describes "Turn Around" as a
"ballad with a pop/rock edge to it." "Turn Around really comes
from my heart. I went through a tough move this year, and this song describes
the pain in leaving all my friends behind. But, I can "turn around"
and still find these friends having my back, even though I'm not living near
them anymore."
Writing songs comes naturally to Corey. "I
love being able to write my own music! The process completely fascinates
me...my songs all start in my journal, just lyrics and a tune. In the studio, I
see my music come to life. It's an incredible feeling."
